Tips For Reducing Lag

Due to the number of attendees that sometimes come to clubs Y/you may experience some lag or freezing issues. 
If this happens, please try the recommendations below to make the club run smoother for Y/you.

Turn off anything Y/you don't need running while running the 3D World, such as streaming videos, games, etc.
Turn down all the 'Resource Heavy' options in the world. Go to Settings under the arrow in the top right corner.


Try adjusting these options to improve performance:

Max Avatars - Set it lower if Y/you're having lag issues
Texture Detail - Loading everything on Low or Medium reduces what Y/you have to load in a room, and speeds everything up.
Two Pass Texturing - UNCKECK this !
Max FPS - toggle to set the maximum amount of frames you render per second.

If Y/you wish, turn off Streaming Music and/or Video, as these can also be taxing to performance, depending on the area Y/you are in.

Also, unchecking Show Notifications can greatly reduce lag as it is less to render. Make sure that Use Packet Compression is not checked at all which causes lag and booting in crowded areas.

I'm not sure if each of these changes will help you.... but after making these changes I am now able to enter a Club with 40-60 Avatars and I can operate as if there were only 5-6 present. Try it, I am guessing it will work well for you too!

A. Click on your "Settings Icon": ( the hammer & wrench icon in upper right of your in-world-screen).

B. Make the following changes on the left side:

1. Set Max FPS to 30
2. Set Texture Detail to Medium
3. Make Max Avatars = 30
4. Leave Texture Filter to Bilinear
5. (Way down low)... change "Chat Tab Limit to 7"
if you occasionally want to chat concurrently to more than 7
AT ONE TIME, increase this temp... then go back and return to 7.

C. Make the following changes on the right side:

6. Check (Make Box Red) for "Two Pass Texturing"
7. UnCheck (Make box Empty) for "Use Fog"
8. UnCheck (Make box Empty) for "Show Hints"
9. UnCheck (Make box Empty) for "Show Tool-Tips"
10. UnCheck (Make box Empty) for "Use packet compression".
11 Check (Make Box Red) for "Dont show Tips"

C. Make sure you save your work by clicking "OK"
(You may have to reboot for all changes to initialize)

That will do it..... and please note 2 things:
a. The Three Really Important ones are #5, #6, & #10
b. If you are in a room with a only a few people and doing
decorating.... go back and re-set

2 to "High"
6 to "Unchecked"
